Galaxy formation and evolution. Galaxy dynamics. Starbursts. AGN host galaxies.

In my research I try to understand the physical processes that lead to the formation and evolution of galaxies across cosmic time. I analyze integral field spectroscopy and interferometer observations given by observatories like the Very Large telescope (VLT) and ALMA. By analyzing the distribution and dynamics of the gas within galaxies I study why in some galaxies stars are formed more efficiently than in others. I also study the gas distribution and dynamics in AGN host galaxies, where the supermassive black hole is accreting gas and exerting feedback to its surroundings.
