Black holes, accretion, active galactic nuclei.

My work is focused on the multifrequency study of active nuclei of galaxies, with special interest in the variability of these. Using data at different wavelengths allows us to connect different emission regions and study their physics, as well as the accretion disk, the corona, the wide and narrow line regions, the torus and the jets, while the variability allows us to study the emission mechanisms and the geometry and sizes of the cores. I work mainly with X-ray data from the XMM-Newton, Swift, and Chandra space telescopes, with optical and infrared data taken with telescopes in Chile, as well as radio data taken from VLA, VLBA, GMRT or Effelsberg.
