On thursday January 7 last, four professors (and researchers) from IFA,  of the Facultad de Ciencias, Drs. Amelia Bayo, Patricia Arevalo, Eduardo Ibar and Paolo Cassata gave a course in astronomy for High School and  Prep School teachers, with the aim to teaching their students. The areas covered in the course ranged from Solar System to Stellar and Extragalactic astronomy. They were welcomed by the Dean of the Facultad de Ciencias, Dr. Juan Kuznar, and then given two theoretical and two practical sessions in Sala Juan Mouat, between 10 am and 5 pm. A coffee break, a lunch break and a closing cocktail enabled the teachers to get to know each other, and their teachers, as well as to plan future events of the same type, moments in which they expressed great satisfaction with the astronomy course.
